The Running Mocs head to the 2015 SoCon Indoor Track and Field Championships Friday and Saturday at the Crossplex in Birmingham, Ala.

She traded in her ice skates for running shoes and her passion for the sport continues long after her collegiate days came to an end.

"Paul and John did what the race gave them," Gautier said. "They went towards the back at the start of the race and at the mile, Paul made a move."

The UTC men's and women's indoor track teams will travel to Birmingham, Ala., Friday for the Samford Invitational.

In just the second race of the season, the UTC track teams had several runners snare top times as they continue to tune up for the upcoming SoCon championships at the end of the month.

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men's and women's indoor track and field teams return to the track Saturday for the Middle Tennessee Invitational in Murfreesboro at the Murphy Center.
