Two members of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Track & Field/Cross Country teams were named to the 2013-14 Capital One Academic All-District teams, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America, today.

Five members of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga cross country and track teams spent a rainy April morning at St. Peter's Episcopal School on Ashland Terrace.

The UTC men's cross country team posted a nation's-best 3.71 GPA and was named a USTFCCCA All-Academic Team and the women's team, also an All-Academic selection, ranked 18th with a 3.64 GPA.

As temperatures dropped with the setting sun, runners began prepping for the 35th running of the Karen Lawrence Run for St. Jude. UTC runners Paul Stuart and John Gilpin finished 1-2 in the 4.2 run.
